Collagen Induction Therapy

Collagen Induction therapy also known as microneedling, is a treatment used to stimulate the rapid production of collagen, resulting in smoother, more youthful looking skin.

The treatment has had significant success in reducing acne scarring and minimises fine lineswhile improving the overall texture of your skin. The procedure involves the use of a series of microscopic needles that are precisely injected into the top layers of the skin. These needles cause numerous minute punctures to the skin to stimulate the fast production of collagen for skin renewal.

The procedure takes approximately 30 min to one hour to complete with healing taking between 4-7 days. The production of collagen can last for up to 12 months after the procedure. Best results are achieved having three treatments spread over three months.

How SkinPen® visibly transforms skin

The SkinPen treatment works in three simple steps, designed to activate the skin's natural healing process. If you are looking to maintain healthy rejuvenated skin, this is the procedure for you.

SkinPen® allows for controlled induction of the skin's self-repair process by creating thousands of precise micro-injuries in the dermis, automatically triggering new collagen synthesis. It works even better when your skin is prepared and supported with the right skincare, so ask your clinician about this.

Inflammation

SkinPen's microneedles penetrate the skin's surface, triggering a natural immune response to disinfect, remove debris, increase blood flow, and activate the creation of new tissue.

Proliferation

The micro-channels or tiny holes created by SkinPen are rebuilt with new granulation cells that include collagen proteins. Additionally, a new network of blood vessels develops.

Remodeling

New dermal tissues form, rich in collagen and elastin proteins. These proteins improve skin quality, visibly reducing facial acne scars and neck wrinkles, leaving skin more smooth, radiant and younger-looking.
